Threatening (Melee Weapon Magic Property)
Enchant Cost: +3 (epic)
A threatening weapon helps allies deal with flanks. While being wielded in active combat, a threatening weapon adds five feet to your threatened area. This is not reach, it will not allow you to actually attack any further away. It does allow you to threaten while further away, and your allies can determine Flanking with you as though you had reach.
When the wielder threatens any creature that is being flanked by an ally, the flanking bonus on attack rolls for all flanking allies increases by +2, to +4. This ability works even if the wielder is not one of the characters flanking the creature, and even if the wielder is not adjacent to the flanked creature.
- Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 16), a languid remnant (tier 1), and an item symbolic of the enchantment.
