Designating, Perfect (Ranged Weapon Magic Property)

Enchant Cost: +8 (epic)

You must be level 21 or higher to equip, wield or wear an item with this property.

Up to once per round, when a ranged weapon with this property hits a creature, its magic designates the target. This is a non-visual effect, making the target seem more vulnerable, but has no effect upon the target's stealth or visibility.

All allies (including the wielder) gain a +1 circumstance bonus on melee attack rolls and inflict 3d6+20 points of bonus Fictive (energy, uncommon) damage with each successful hit against the designated target until the start of the wielder's next turn. This bonus damage only applies to melee attacks made against the target (not ranged attacks or spells). Bonus damage is not multiplied on a critical hit.

Circumstance bonuses from other sources stack, but multiple successful designating shots fired at the same target, even if from different weapons with the designating property, do not increase the bonuses or their duration.

Creation: Creator (Feat), Epic Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 65), a vital remnant (tier 6), and an item symbolic of the enchantment.
