Ring of Talent +4
- Cost: 12,740 gp
- Weight: 0.1 lbs.
- Family: Ring of Talent
Like the Ring of Practice, this ring appears to be a simple gold band at first glance. However, in addition to having hundreds of very tiny runes traced lightly into its surface, it periodically pulses a small rune-shaped light from its surface. This pulse is really only apparent when observed, and certainly is too faint to ever be considered a light source (not to mention how infrequently it appears). Nevertheless, anyone studying the ring for more than a few seconds will be able to tell that it is more than meets the eye.
Wearing a ring of talent gives the wearer greater expertise with three skills. Such rings are favored by noblemen, master craftsmen, and traveling merchants (who require diplomatic skills in addition to simple bartering skills), and, of course, adventurers.
Since the bonus granted by a ring of talent is an Enhancement Bonus, it cannot be stacked with other skill-boosting items boosting the same skill; instead, only the highest available boost is added to a given skill. You can, however, have multiple skill boosting items that affect different skills.
The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.
- Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 36 (10 + double CL)), Pale (tier 2) remnant, An item symbolic of the enchantment, 6,370 gp (minus cost of symbolic item).
