You can summon better, albeit scarier, versions of creatures.

Prerequisites: Caster Level 19

Benefit: When you cast a Summon spell, you may summon a creature whose adjusted CR that is greater than your own caster level. Feats which allow you to apply a pattern to a summoned monster (and increase its effective CR) are no longer limited by your caster level.

Normal: You cannot summon a creature whose CR exceeds your caster level. In such a case, the CR is reduced to equal your caster level.
