Rage Drake(CR 8)

Drakes are reptilian beasts that compete in the wild against wolves, bears, and other modest predators. They are omnivores when required (although they prefer meat) and their slow, efficient metabolisms mean an amazing number of them can live in a given area.

Large, dangerous creatures, Rage Drakes are often mistaken as small dragons by the uneducated. Given the ferocity of their attacks, perhaps such mistakes are justifiable. Rage Drakes are hardy and adapt readily to harsh conditions, and will flourish almost anywhere if given the time to prey and browse efficiently. Rage Drakes are very territorial, and will viciously attack all creatures they see as challenges to their territorial range.

COMBAT TACTICS

Rage Drakes are pack hunters who hunt by sight. They are perfectly aware of their intimidating presence and pack ferocity, and will stay in a loose knot as they attack to maximize the bonuses they gain. Once in a fight, they will charge in, using Drake's Rage to fortify themselves against any ranged damage they have to endure while closing in. Once they engage in melee, they will use full attacks, attacks of opportunity, and Snapping Riposte to tear their prey to pieces.

Rage Drakes are completely fearless once they have spotted prey, and once they've triggered Drake's Rage nothing will cause them to break off an attack.
