These magical boots are made from a supple black-brown suede that cradles the foot, ankle and calf of the wearer, and the soles are flexible but protective of the feet. Boots of the Daredevil are enchanted to reward reckless behavior, and wearers of the boots are often seen taking prodigious risks.
These boots grant the following bonuses and powers when taking risky moves:
- The wearer may make any (Acrobatics) check as a swift action, or as an attack action, rather than as a move action.
- The wearer gains a +5 enhancement bonus on all Acrobatics checks made for any reason.
- Anytime the wearer of the boots successfully Tumbles out of a space threatened by an enemy without provoking an attack of opportunity, they gain a +4 circumstance bonus on attack rolls against that enemy until the end of their turn.
- Once per round as a free action, the wearer may select one creature they can perceive, and that creature may not make attacks of opportunity against the wearer until the start of the wearer's next turn.
The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.
