Fortification, Light (Shield Magic Property)
Enchant Cost: +1
This suit of armor or shield produces a magical force that protects vital areas of the wearer more effectively. When a critical hit or a precision damage attack (such as sneak attack) is scored on the wearer, there is a chance that the critical hit or the precision damage attack is negated and damage is instead rolled normally. The chance is 25% for light fortification, 50% for moderate fortification, and 75% for heavy fortification.
- Special: Note that rogues (and only rogues) have the special ability to do half their sneak attack damage to targets normally immune to precision damage attacks. Thus, the wearer of fortification armor who succeeds on his check would still take half damage from a rogue's sneak attack.
- Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 17), a languid remnant (tier 1), and an item symbolic of the enchantment.
