Shattered (Melee Weapon Magic Property)
A shattered weapon seems to have been assembled poorly from the shards of its own smashed pieces. When wielded, though, it seems quite solid and handles normally. In normal use, the shattered weapon property has no effect. However, when this weapon gains the Broken condition, it gains an additional +2 circumstance bonus to hit and damage instead of a -2 penalty, and on a critical hit the jagged pieces inflict a Bleed condition equal to the number of base weapon dice of the weapon. This weapon will make itself whole at the beginning of an encounter, or after a full nights rest.
Special: As a free action, once per encounter, after successfully striking a foe in melee combat, the wielder may declare that the weapon breaks in the wound. This grants the weapon the Broken condition, with the benefits described above, and inflicts the base weapon dice of the weapon as bonus damage, which is added to the damage recorded by the attack just made, for purposes of bypassing DR.
- Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 30), a pale remnant (tier 2), and an item symbolic of the enchantment.
