Game 2 - Kill Bill Volume 2 - (3/31/14)

What Happened

As a note, our layover at Lonely Rest Way Station is 2 days.

We are standing around discussing what to do next when the Wardens of Daneth approach and address Sir Edric and invites us to the Grove for the evening.

Leslie and Bill will join us.

The grove is on the outskirts of Scragsbluff (Large Town).

As we approach the town, we notice that there is a heavy watch. With a word from the Wardens of Daneth, the watch stop eyeing us suspiciously.

We turn off inside the walls, they lead us to a small stand of trees - their Grove of Daneth. The grove is bigger on the inside.

They provide us food and refreshment. Being hosted by the Grove is a big deal.

In discussion, it is mentioned there is a bounty on Goblins. (50 gp per goblin). We just need to get a license from the Town Proxy.

Leslie would like to come with us to hunt Goblins, but wants to talk to her mentor. Skipia convinces Leslie that she doesn't need permission first. Leslie shows her weapon a Siagum.

Some of the party look Leslie over trying to determine if she can handle herself in a fight.

The Wardens offer us 8 goodberries. The Wardens not the Hawk Master is not from around there, and they will perform rites on his remains.

Some of the Wardens escort us to an Imperial Bureaucracy to get a license for Goblin hunting. We talk to a scribner and it will be 10 gp for the adventuring party...what to call us...hmm.."The Octet"

The Wardens lead us through town. Vellum notices several of Temples to various gods. She also notices that the sky chariots that the Grimholders took to a place downtown.

On the other side of town, we catch site of Mountain Grumbly in the distance with a plume of white smoke rising high into the sky. There is a river of lava coming down it to a lava lake where the Fire Titans are. Between Mt. Grumbly and Scraggsbluff is a large lake. The town is 80 ft up on a bluff. At the foot of the cliff is a swamp that the Scraggs used to live in.

The Wardens say the Goblins tend to be in the swamp or in the forests on either side up on the bluff. Base on current raids, the Goblins are in the forest off to the right. The Warden's leave us here as we head into the forest.

We find goblin tracks about 200 yards in. The trail heads towards the city, we follow them in the other direction.

Vellum spots up in a tree something white about 100ft out. A thigh bone of a skeleton tied to a tree...and more bones tied to other tree. Skeletons with bows tied to trees.

Vellum scouts ahead and there are more skeletons in the mounds of leaves.

After a zesty little fight in forest, we defeat the skeletons.

Per Sir Eldric, the skeletons are immortal and eventually will return.

Skeleton bone is worth alot. We spend some time, gathering the bones up.
