If it fails the saving throw, it also suffers the effects of a Confusion spell, including becoming subject to the Synergy. The bomb is resolved normally against all indirect targets.
Note: This is a 'bomb modifier' discovery, and may not be combined with any other 'bomb modifier' discoveries, until the alchemist learns the Eureka Bombs class feature at level 17.
