You can channel your divine energy through a melee weapon you wield.
Prerequisites: Paladin 11, Channel Divinity class feature
Related: Channel Smite, Greater (Feat)
Benefit: Before you make a melee attack roll, you can choose to spend one use of your channel divinity ability as a swift action. This adds your channel divinity damage to all attacks you make before the beginning of your next turn.
- If you channel positive energy and you hit an undead creature with that attack, that creature takes an amount of additional damage equal to the damage dealt by your channel divinity ability.
- If you channel negative energy and you hit a living creature with that attack, that creature takes an amount of additional damage equal to the damage dealt by your channel divinity ability.
- The target gets no save against this extra damage, unlike using channel divinity to damage creatures in an area around you.
