Light damage is a weaker version of sunlight damage, but fails to achieve the magical properties of true daylight, with regard to harming undead that are vulnerable to the sun's light. Also like sunlight damage, light damage is harmful to nearly all creatures it is directed at, even those who regularly venture out in the day.
