Pocket Yeti (CR 14)

Pocket Yeti
Pure Evil - Small - Fey
The Pocket Yeti is the second-smallest of the fey yeti-kin, a deceptively adorable but cunning ambush predator. Standing no taller than a halfling’s knee, these shaggy creatures blend seamlessly into icy terrain, using their supernatural agility to move effortlessly through snow and ice. Their most fearsome weapon is their chilling bite, which saps the speed and strength of their prey, slowing even the swiftest foes. Pocket Yetis prefer hit-and-run tactics, hurling compacted snowballs with their broad, paddle-like paws to disorient enemies before closing in for the attack.

However, they are no fools—when the tide of battle turns against them, they retreat without hesitation, scampering toward their larger, more formidable yeti cousins for protection. But woe to those who press their assault too recklessly! When a Pocket Yeti suffers grievous harm, it releases a sudden wave of fey-infused frost, a last-ditch defense that chills the air around it and can momentarily freeze its attackers in place. Wily and tenacious, these creatures are a menace in frigid landscapes, striking from the white expanse and vanishing just as swiftly.
