Arcane Shield (Feat)

You can convert any spell into a defense.

Prerequisites: Arcane Caster Level 11

Benefit: As an immediate action, you can sacrifice one or more prepared spells or unused spell slots and gain a dodge bonus to AC equal to +1 per spell or spell slot you sacrifice. Note that the spell level of the spell being sacrificed does not affect the dodge bonus granted; it is always +1 per spell sacrificed. 0th-level spells (cantrips or orisons) provide no benefit and may not be sacrificed with this feat. This dodge bonus lasts until the start of your next turn.

Note: This feat lets you use your immediate action at any point prior to damage resolution to attempt to retroactively make a successful attack miss. Obviously, you can also use it before an attack roll. The maximum number of spells or spell slots you can sacrifice with this feat is equal to the number of experience tiers of spell-casting classes you possess (1 to 7).
