Description

The holder of this poultice makes hissing and crackling sounds between clenched teeth, as they steep a runed walnut, once struck by lighting, in the plaster. When the holder then cracks the walnut, a massive globe of lightning flies from it at the target they choose within range, to whom they have line of sight and line of effect. This is a ray attack, and if they succeed in a ranged touch attack against their target, that target suffers (Circle 5 damage): 1d6+1 points of damage per character level (max 15d6+15 at character level 15) of electricity (energy, common) damage. If the touch attack misses, the fierce energy of the ball of lightning grounds out and dissipates harmlessly.
