- Target or Area: one target creature, plus one per 10 character levels (drop fractions; max 4 at level 30), enemy creatures you choose, all who must be within 20 feet of each other, and objects between them
- Duration: Instantaneous

Description
- You mutter the dull, slow words of this spell in a low, dark tone of voice, grinding coal dust between your fingers. A shower of iridescent black particles clings to and extinguishes torches, lanterns, sunrods, and similar mundane light sources carried by your target(s), and all others between your targets if you may choose more than one. The target creatures you choose (as detailed above) take (Circle 2 damage): 1d6 points of damage per character level (max 6d6 at character level 6) of negative (energy, uncommon) damage. All affected targets are allowed a saving throw as detailed above for half damage.
