Prerequisites: Alchemist 10
Benefit: The alchemist's bombs do more than sear flesh — they sear the mind. A creature that takes a direct hit from a madness bomb takes damage from the bomb as normal, but must also make a Fortitude save (DC of 10 + 1/2 alchemist's level + INT modifier). If it fails the saving throw, it becomes Distracted until the end of the current encounter. The bomb affects indirect targets in the bomb's radius normally.
Note: This is a 'bomb modifier' discovery, and may not be combined with any other 'bomb modifier' discoveries, until the alchemist learns the Eureka Bombs class feature at level 17.
