Talk:Types of Movement
Add sloping ground rules here and cross-reference to the Environment section, Death From Above feat, and elsewhere.
Also, edit/cleanup the environment section.
Slope rules:
GM defines an area as sloping, and indicates where the ground is sloping
Mild slope - up to 30 degree slope: Adds/subtracts 1 inch from forced movement whether uphill or downhill
Steep Slope - 31 degree to 70 degree slope: Adds/subtracts 2 inches from forced movement, all ground is difficult terrain
Vertical - 71 - 100 degrees: Requires Climb skill or Climb speed
Overhang - 101 to 135 degrees: Really high Climb skill or Greater Climb
Ceiling - 136 to 180 (flat overhead): REALLY high climb skill or Greater Climb
Hover, flight, burrowing/tunneling/Earthglide ignores slope
Teleport ignores slope up to steep slope (70 degrees) since teleport ignores difficult terrain
Add slippery ground rules here for ice, wet stone, thin mud, greased/oiled surfaces, wet leaves, etc
Slippery: Adds +1 inch or more to forced movement. Combined with slopes, slippery begins inflicting automatic forced move each round equal to half the total forced move.
