You just intuitively know where the nearest ride is. The fact that it doesn't exactly belong to you is of no importance.

Prerequisites: Rogue 1
Benefit: A rogue with this talent gains a +1 training bonus on all Handle Animal, Piloting, and Ride rolls. This bonus increases to +2 at 20th level.
In addition, a successful Knowledge (Local) check against an Average DC for the campaign level (or the general CR of the area/region/settlement) grants the rogue knowledge of the nearest geographically appropriate mount or vehicle. Note that some environments just don't have mounts or vehicles, but players are encouraged to suggest likely candidates.
