Hauberk of the Magus
Hauberk of the Magus
Despite the somewhat archaic sounding "hauberk" in the name, a Hauberk of the Magus is actually a tight-fitting set of reinforcements, fitted close to the body (and far more importantly, bolstering the wearer's Aura). A Hauberk can be thought of as a magical armamentorium, and as such, occupies the Armor slot of the body, despite being far less heavily built than most 'real' armors.
A Hauberk, despite its arcane (or divine!) sturdiness, is in the mundane world lightweight, breathable, and easy to move in, while also seeming to shimmer in the light, for those wizard-folk who are so immodest as to allow them to show through their other clothes. The Hauberk of the Magus is heavily dusted with cuprium and woven with threads of ambergold, giving them a quite beautiful appearance. However, they do not provide much in the way of support, defense, or modesty to the physical body. They tend to be somewhat...vainglorious, and are largely meant as a kind of full-body undergarment.
The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.

When you Mana Burn a spell you are casting, add one additional "Circle Die" to the damage dealt. A "Circle Die" is the amount dealt per level by the circle of the spell being cast. For example, circle 4 damage is 1d6+1 per level, so a "circle die" would add an additional 1d6+1. This bonus circle die is added regardless of the caster's level and also regardless of the limitations normally established by the circle, so if a 14th level caster cast a 4th circle spell (1d6+1 per level to a max of 12d6+12 at 12th level), they would deal 13d6+13 with this effect.
