These supple gloves cover the wearer's hands and wrists, and appear to be made from the hide of some magical beast. The leather is thin, extremely durable, yet also allows excellent freedom of movement and doesn't hinder the wearer's tactile dexterity. Upon putting them on, they instantly resize to fit the wearer like a second skin. There are markings on the knuckles and inside the palm of the gloves — runic symbols with linking lines between them, that appear to have been filled with cuprium. While the gloves do not give of a tangible feel of magical power to the casual observer, the runes seem to suggest, very plainly, that at least some magic is present.
Wearing these gloves grants the wearer greater expertise with three different skills. These gloves are worn by craftsmen, traders, and even some noblemen (despite their somewhat mundane appearance), and any others who seek a solid grounding in a complex profession.
Since the bonus granted by the gloves of the tradesman is an Enhancement Bonus, it cannot be stacked with other skill-boosting items boosting the same skill; instead, only the highest available boost is added to a given skill. You can, however, have multiple skill boosting items that affect different skills.
The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.
