Quiet Death (Talent)
Ability Type: Ex
Prerequisites: Rogue 11
Benefit: If a rogue with this talent kills, knocks unconscious, or stuns a creature during a surprise round, they may also make a Stealth check after the attack as a free action, opposed by Perception checks of those in the vicinity, to prevent them from identifying the rogue as the assailant. Any creature that fails its Perception check has no idea where the rogue is, and isn't even aware that anything untoward happened to their friend until after the surprise round is over (when their friend's body finally collapses in a heap on the ground).
This talent also allows the rogue to hide a body, and prevent its discovery. The rogue can reduce any penalties being applied to the DC of their Disguise checks to Hide Objects by up to +2 per experience tier of the Rogue class they possess (i.e. negate up to 2 points of penalty at Rogue levels 1-5, negate up to 4 points of penalty at levels 6-10, etc., to a maximum of up to 14 points of penalty negation if the rogue possesses all seven tiers of the rogue class (i.e. at least Rogue level 31)).
If the rogue is able to negate more penalties than the Hide Objects check actually calls for, any additional penalty negation is lost. The best the rogue can do is negate all the penalties of the Hide Objects check with the Quiet Death talent; it can never turn into an actual bonus on the roll.
