This rod is in the shape of a gnarled wooden stick. Grafted to one end is a few inch length of a rubbery tentacle, somehow animated with unquiet vitality, and which drips with slime. When the rod is activated, the tentacle grabs around for a victim.

Wielders of this rod can utter a command word as a standard action to cast a Touch of Slime spell, using up one charge from the rod. As part of activating the rod, you may make a melee touch attack as well.

When activated, this rod shakes as the tentacle feels around aggressively for a victim, slime spattering. When you make a successful melee Touch Attack with the rod coated in slime, the vile slop clings to the target, at which point it grows wildly, eating channels and runnels through the living tissue of the unfortunate victim, inflicting damage as described below of slime (physical, common)damage. If you miss the touch attack, there is no effect, although the tentacle remains activated. You may attack again without expending another charge, and the slime remains ready to go until a successful attack lands, or the current combat ends. There is no saving throw.

You can purchase this rod at a higher creator level than the minimum required to cast the spell. Doing so increases the potency of the spell as described above, but also increases the cost, as follows:
