Striking Creature
Striking Creature Pattern (+1 CR)
- Subtype: add Striking to subtypes
Striking Creature is a pattern to represent the monsters that are good at what they do, and look good doing it. Striking Creatures are able to stand back and with an elegant maneuver, hit you before you were really ready. They are a lot more dangerous than they seem, although they rarely are the sorts to want to brawl and bite and tear like their less skilled brethren.
Striking monsters can represent skilled advisors, pampered elites, and noble scions with far too much combat tutoring to allow them to be useless fops. Striking Monsters can also represent the followers of 'civilized' evil Gods, cults of personality, favored progeny of a Big Bad Guy, and especially, champions, pets, and sports of the rich and famous. But Striking Creatures can be found anywhere there is a monster who is just a tiny bit more elegant and dangerous than most of its kind, even if they are 'flowers in the muck' with no civilization or support whatsoever. A Striking Hill Giant is dangerous indeed, even if no less...awful...than their kin.
This creature is graceful and well-appointed, and looks very skilled at combat, too boot.
