Condition Severity: Weak
Something terrible is nearby.
Effects
- You suffer a -2 penalty to attack rolls
- If you attempt to cast any spell or use a spell-like ability, you must make a Caster Check with a -2 penalty (vs. DC 15 + double the spell's level), or the spell fails and is wasted. If you are already making a Caster Check to cast the spell (e.g. to combat cast), you need only make a single Caster Check at a -2 penalty.
- This is a fear condition, unless otherwise stated in the effect that inflicts it.
Ended By
If the ability, trap, or effect description includes specific directions for how the condition is ended, then that is the primary means of ending this condition. In many cases, it is the only way to end the condition. If nothing is specifically listed for ending the condition, then the following methods can be used to end it, instead:
- If at any point you are at least 20 feet away from the creature which inflicted the Nervous condition on you, the condition immediately ends.
- If the creature which inflicted Nervous on you is slain, the condition immediately ends.
- If not cleared, Nervous automatically ends at the end of the encounter.
